Google is the search engine giant having more than 80% of the total market share. According to the graph, no other search engine technology is near the Google. Recently, Microsoft has launched its own Search Engine, Bing.
Microsoft has launched Bing after several trials on 3rd June 2009. Yahoo’s market share for search is around 11%. On 3rd June, when Bing launched, several people around the world have tries Bing and thus on 4th June, Bing’s market share rises to more than 11% overtaking the Yahoo.
Bing has touched the 15% MARK of search engine market while at the same time, Google’s market share goes down from 80% to 72%. It seems that Bing has steal the market share of Google.
But soon after 4th June, the market share of Bing suddenly drops below 8% and Google has achieved its above 80% market share while Yahoo has achieved its 11% Market Share.
In short, the Bing effect did not last long.

It works on “Structured Database” approach to search.
