Internet Business Growth: Things to keep in mind

The growth of any Business is the prime goal of any Entrepreneur. This is true for any Business – Offline and Online. Now, every Business has its own criterias for growth. The revenue of the Business is not the only criteria of the growth of the Business.

For Internet Business there are entirely different criterias to measure its growth. Let me give you my Example. The Example of this Blog. Few months Back, this Blog has given monthly revenue of $ 50, 60, 50, 45 in a raw for 4 continuous months.

Now, How to judge that weather this Blog Business has grown or not? Well, according to me the criterias for growth of any Internet Business are mainly two.

01) Asset Size

02) Web traffic.

As a rule of thumb, as the Asset size of your Internet Business increases, the web traffic has to increase over the time. Say for Example, if you are running a Blog Business than it’s main asset is its Blog Archive. So suppose right now if your blog has 100 articles Blog archive and you increase it’s size to 200 articles. Than it means that your Business has grown by 100%. Even if your Blog has not posted any Revenue or even web traffic growth.

This is because increase in the asset size of any business means you are increasing the probability of its future sales and revenues. – This is true for any Business weather it’s online or offline.

Now, in case of Internet Business, if you increase its Asset size than it means that, you are increasing the future probability of the web traffic and thus your website revenue.

In my case during those 4 months, I constantly increased the asset size of this Blog business every month after month. The Asset size of this blog during those months was 1200, 1400, 1600 & 1800 Articles.

It means that, every month, I grown the asset size of this Business. And during the same time the monthly page views were approx. 10000, 12000, 13000 & 15000.

So the web traffic also increased for this Blog. But somehow, this growth was not converted into the increased revenue at that time. But after few months means today the growth has shown into the revenues. Now, the monthly Revenue of this Blog is well above $ 100.

Sometimes, it takes a time to show the Internet Business Asset & Web traffic growth in its Revenue. But as a rule of thumb, if the Asset size of your Internet Business has grown, the web traffic has to grow and after that the Revenue also has to Grow.

But it may take few months to grow the revenue. So the only key thing that any Internet Entrepreneur should focus is to, grow the Asset size of your Web Business. The rest will automatically follow the growing Asset size…!!!
