Mirae Asset India Opportunities Fund Review

Mirae Asset India Opportunities Fund Review

Let us today review Mirae Asset India Opportunities Fund. Well, it’s a relatively new fund. It is basically the Equity Diversified Mutual Fund. It’s main asset allocation is in giant and large cap stocks. However, the fund also has invested 25% of its assets in Midcap stocks for better returns.

Valueresearchonline.com has not yet rated this fund because it does not have a past record of proven performance of at least 3 years.

However, the fund is doing really well.

Recently it has declared second dividend in its 2 years of life. This is really a great thing and shows that the fund is really doing well.

The fund has decided to pay a dividend of Rs 1.50 per unit (face-value-Rs 10 per unit) under the dividend option-regular plan.

Mirae Asset Global Investments (India)'s CEO, Arindam Ghosh , said "Mirae Asset follows a botttom-up stock-pricing approach coupled with rigorous research oriented investment process enabling the fund--Mirae Asset India Opportunities Fund to deliver a robust performance track-record and thereby reward our investors with a second dividend."

The fund has also outperformed its category average in the year 2010. The category average is around 12% while the fund has generated 18% returns in the year 2010 which is really an excellent thing.

I will personally give 4 out of 5 stars to this fund. Investors can go for this fund having a long investment time horizon of at least more than 5 years.
