There are very few value investors in India. The most famous one is Rakesh Jhunjhunwala. Jhunjhunwala follows the investment strategy of world’s most favourite value Investor – Warren Buffett.

In 2010, Forbes has estimated Jhunjhunwala’s net worth of US $ 1 Billion making him India’s most admirable investor. Rakesh made his fortune only by investing.

In 1985, he started investing in the Indian stock market with just Rs.5000 of seed capital and today his portfolio net worth is well above US $ 1 Billion.

Value investing means you always pay less than the real value of the stock. Value investing means when everybody is selling and running away from the stock market, you are investing in the stock market.

Warren Buffett has suggested one great book on Value investing and that book is – The Intelligent Investor. This book is world’s best book on value investing.
