Azim Premji is the Indian Business Tycoon and the chairman of WIPRO Technologies, India’s third largest software company having net worth of US $ 17.5 Billion according to Forbes 2010 making him India’s second richest person.

In 1947, the WIPRO was just a vegetable oil company founded by his late father. However, under the leadership of Azim Premji, it grew into a Software giant as well as a diversified conglomerate.

In July 2007, BusinessWeek nominated Azim Hasham Premji (Premji), the Chairman of Wipro, as one of the top 30 all time great entrepreneurs in the world. The case discusses the leadership qualities of Premji. Under his leadership, Wipro, a small vegetable oil company in the mid-1960s, was transformed into one of the leading IT services company by the early 2000s. Premji had established a strong value system in Wipro and believed that values not only helped in achieving success but also made that success more enduring and lasting.

He is a great leader. He lives simple lifestyle and had no expensive hobbies. He drives Toyota Corolla and travels in economy class by air. He is a great leader having simple living but high thinking.
