Reliance Industries Largest Wealth Creator in 2009

RIL is the Largest Wealth  Creator in 2009

Reliance Industries is the largest wealth creator in the year 2009. The shares of Reliance Industries have appreciated very much in 2009.

In March 2009 the index had fallen significantly from the peak of 21,000 to more like 9,000 plus. In that challenging environment, Reliance created Rs 151,000 crore in the last five years. Bharti Airtel was the second largest at Rs 90,000 crore and BHEL with Rs 58,000 crore completed the top three. Out of ten companies, four are public sector companies that have created humongous amount of wealth in a very challenging environment.

In the fastest wealth creator category, Unitech, the real estate company, has grown 54 times and 122% compounded in the last five years. This is despite the fact that the stock is literally down 70-80% from its peak. It was the fastest wealth creator the year before with 900 times of peak appreciation.

Creating wealth in layman’s language means the prices of shares of the listed company goes high. If the price of some listed company goes high in any financial year than it means that the company has created new wealth in the economy.

I advise and motivate youngsters and even school going children to create wealth in the economy. By Crating a wealth in the economy, you will benefit literally millions of people’s life.
