Mukesh Ambani: The 5th Best CEO in the World according to Harvard Review
According to Harvard Business Review (HBR), Mukesh Ambani – The Chairman and CMD of Reliance Industries (RIL) is the 5th Best CEO among Top 50 CEOs in the world. He is the only Indian CEO who is in the list.
Ambani, the only Indian to figure among the top 50 CEOs, is in the same league as Steve Jobs of Apple, Yun Jong-Yong of Samsung, Alexey Miller of Gazprom and John Chambers of Cisco.
He has also been ranked No. 2 among top 10 emerging market CEOs with Miller at the top. Former chairman of ICICI Bank K V Kamath is ranked ninth in list. HBR said it ranked CEOs of large public-traded companies in a review which analysed performance of 2000 CEOs worldwide, who have joined their companies after 1995. The entire group represented 48 nationalities and companies based in 33 countries.
