NPS is in Trouble

The Pension Regulator of India (PFRDA) has recently introduced the New Pension Scheme (NPS). The NPS was launched on 1st May 2009 and up to now only 400 persons from all over the India has opened their Pension accounts with it.

In a Country of over 100 Crore Population, only 400 people have opened the accounts with NPS.

This is a very poor response. Recently, The government has been asked by PFRDA to bear cost of maintaining NPS accounts. According to Finance Gurus, the reason for this poor response is the lack of marketing of this product.

According to Industry experts, you Must require an excellent marketing to sell any Financial Product. Without a great marketing, nobody will buy that financial product, no matter how quality product it is. The government of India has not spend a single rupee behind the marketing of NPS and this lack of marketing is reflecting in the results. Only 400 people of India have chosen to buy NPS.

According to Experts, The government should expend at least Rs.500 Crore for proper marketing of the NPS. otherwise no body will buy it.
