As all of you know that, Twitter is growing at much faster rate. It’s world’s largest Micro blogging Platform. Evan Williams, The CEO and the founder of Twitter had said that, Twitter will soon dwarf the Blogger.
Those who are unaware about Evan Williams, Let me introduce Evan. Evan is the person who had founded and designed Blogger, the world famous blogging platform. He has sold Blogger to Google in 2003.
After that in 2006, he had developed ‘Twitter’ and today Twitter is growing at the fastest rate. More than 8 Million people around this world are using Twitter successfully.
Many Businesses & Internet Marketers are right now marketing their products & services on the Twitter.
Currently Google is in talks to buy Twitter. The acquition may help google in augmenting its advertising and social networking platform, as many large corporates use Twitter for advertising for jobs and selling products.
It’s interesting to note that Twitter had turned down Facebook’s buyout offer just a few months ago for about US $ 500 Million.
Large Businesses like Cisco, Jet Blue, Sun Microsystems & IBM already use to provide product or service Information.
As per the Service, users can send and read updates from friends known tweets via SMS. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters. Twitter currently has SMS short codes for the US, Canada and India. In India, Twitter uses the short Code 55 66 511.
Twitter is a California based Company having around 8 Million users. Buy out of Twitter may help Google strengthen its play in the social networking arena, thus beating players like Facebook & MySpace.
It may also combine Tweets with Orkut Scraps to create another dimension in social networking via SMS. The platform may give Google huge advantage in terms of Local ad listings.
