Cacau out for three months

Bundesliga club Stuttgart says striker Cacau will be out of action for at least three months after injuring his left knee in training.



Stuttgart says the Brazil-born Germany striker ruptured his cruciate ligament in training on Wednesday.



Club doctors hope Cacau can avoid surgery.



"This is really bitter for us and I feel very sorry for him. We will do all we can to support him and hope that he doesn't have to undergo an operation," Stuttgart sports director Fredi Bobic said.



The club has won only one of seven games this season and is 15th in the 18-team top division.

Dortmund swoop for Schieber

Borussia Dortmund have agreed a deal with Stuttgart to take Julian Schieber to the Bundesliga champions.



The 23-year-old will sign a four-year contract in Dortmund upon the successful completion of a medical in the Westphalian city.



Schieber, who spent the 2010/11 season on loan at Nurnberg, makes the move for an undisclosed fee and should fill the void left by the sale of Lucas Barrios to Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande.



"We are delighted to have signed a young German player in Julian Schieber," said Dortmund's director of sport Michael Zorc. "He fits perfectly into our team and has huge potential."



Schieber scored a brace in arguably the most entertaining Bundesliga game of last season when Dortmund were held to a 4-4 draw at home to Stuttgart.
