If we can only save one life? How about 1,200 lives?

Joe Biden and Barack Obama routinely resort to the Statist's traditional rhetoric in pushing their anti-Constitutional agenda.

The quote they frequently employ -- "if it saves only one life" -- is demonstrably specious.

Last month, ICE (Immigrations and Customs Enforcement) released statistics on the tiny fraction of illegal aliens who were actually deported in 2012.

Just this small slice of the illegal alien population was determined responsible for:

1,200 murders

5,550 rapes and other sexual offenses

40,000 drug crimes

36,000 DUIs

Thousands of murders. Thousands of rapes. Thousands of sexual assaults. Thousands of pedophiles. Thousands of drug crimes. Thousands of DUIs.

If it only saved one life?

These Leftists are the lowest of the low.

HECKUVA JOB, NAPPY: DHS Lets Naturalized Terrorists, Spies and Criminals Keep Their Citizenship

Well, this is a man-caused disaster waiting to happen:

An astonishing number of naturalized U.S. citizens have been convicted of grave national security crimes—including terrorism, espionage and theft of sensitive technology—yet the government allows them to keep their American citizenship.

As unfathomable as this may seem it’s simply business as usual in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the massive agency created after 9/11 to keep the nation safe. The agency rarely strips foreigners of citizenship even when they prove to be national security threats who hustle the system. In fact, DHS has no system in place to examine such cases or weed out future threats.

The alarming details of this inept operation are outlined in a scathing report (“Upholding the Value of Our Citizenship: National Security Threats Should Be Denaturalized”) published this week by an organization that researches legal and illegal immigration into the United States. DHS rarely denaturalizes individuals, even after they have committed serious national security offenses, the probe found.

This can't come as any surprise to those following the career of Janet Napolitano. She has consistently refused to enforce the nation's immigration laws and has illegally concealed documents related to the agency's activities.

Because with this crew, it's all about consolidating power by changing the electorate. It has nothing to do with enforcing America's laws.

OH, HOW THEY DESPISE THE CONSTITUTION: And they're not even trying to hide it any more

A brilliantly titled op-ed at The Wall Street Journal ("We the Government") lays bare the lie that the modern Democrat Party remains moored to America's values, traditions and laws.

White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer expressed the current mood in the West Wing this way to the Washington Post on Inauguration Day: "There's a moment of opportunity now that's important. . . . What's frustrating is that we don't have a political system or an opposition party worthy of the opportunity."

So neither the checks and balances of U.S. democracy nor the Republican Party that controls one branch of Congress is worthy of President Obama's grand aspirations. Presumably they must bow to his superior moral purposes. It's important to appreciate how much such contemptuous talk deviates from normal public White House respect for the men and women a President must do political business with.

Democrats and the media -- but I repeat myself -- continually decry the "polarization" of today's government. But the reason for that dichotomy lies with the radical sixties retreads who have overwhelmed the Democrat Party, laying waste to the once-dominant JFK/Scoop Jackson wing.

As historian Trevor Loudon and many others have proven with overwhelming evidentiary documentation, the modern progressive epoch is is an offshoot of the Cold War and Soviet-era Communism.

America's new divisions are so obvious, and the Democrat leadership so radical, that local law enforcement officials from around the country have told the President and the Justice Department that any attempt to revoke the Constitution's Second Amendment will be immediately repudiated.

Some officials have gone so far as to "pledge their lives" to resist the administration's lawless proposals. One such group is the Utah Sheriff’s Association, which wrote the administration the proverbial strongly worded memo [PDF]:

We respect the Office of the President of the United States of America. But, make no mistake, as the duly-elected sheriffs of our respective counties, we will enforce the rights guaranteed to our citizens by the Constitution. No federal official will be permitted to descend upon our constituents and take from them what the Bill of Rights — in particular Amendment II — has given them. We, like you, swore a solemn oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and we are prepared to trade our lives for the preservation of its traditional interpretation.

Here's an entertaining thought experiment: when was the last time in American history that large groups of state and local officials promised retaliatory violence against a tyrannical, authoritarian government operating outside the law?

Oh and hey, remember when then-candidate Barack Obama said, "There's not a blue America or a Red America, there is the United States of America"?

Yeah, that was funny.

Eric Holder announces nationwide effort to find people like himself

Hey, that's the way I read this story:

Attorney General Eric Holder said today that the government will consider “imposing tough penalties on gun traffickers who help funnel weapons to dangerous criminals” while talking about gun control to U.S. mayors.

ERIC HOLDER: [We will] consider a series of new federal laws imposing tough penalties on gun traffickers who help funnel weapons to dangerous criminals.

Criminals like the murderous drug cartels that Holder equipped in Operation Fast and Furious?

You know, the brilliant brainchild of Mr. Holder and the President, which was intended to send high-capacity assault magazines and other weapons of murderous, military-style war to the Mexican drug cartels? For which Americans have never received a complete explanation?

In short, Mr. Holder seems to be preparing an indictment against himself, which should be enlightening... and entertaining.

THE ENTIRE NBC FIREARMS CRIME SAGA, POINT-BY-POINT: Is David Gregory Hiding From the Cops?

In his zeal to pursue additional -- and provably useless -- gun control laws, Meet The Press host David Gregory waved around a high-capacity magazine last Sunday to make a rhetorical point during an interview.

You probably know that the District of Columbia -- where the show is taped -- has some of the most restrictive gun control laws in the U.S. (and the expected high rate of violent crime... but, I digress). In fact, D.C. prohibits the possession of high-cap mags, a crime punishable by up to a year in prison and a fine of as much as $1,000.

• An enterprising blogger pointed this fact out after Meet the Press and noted that Gregory very well could be prosecuted for this crime.

• The hypocrisy is noteworthy: Gregory sends his children to a school protected by as many as 11 armed security officers, but I suspect he believes his children are more deserving of protection than yours.

• It turns out that NBC requested permission to use the mag -- and was denied. Blogger William Jacobson did the detective work and verified that the DC Metropolitan Police Department not only refused NBC's request but is now actively investigating the alleged crime.

• As you could have predicted, the entire antique media complex is running interference for Gregory:

(a) CNN's Howard Kurtz, for example, is shocked -- shocked! -- that anyone could be prosecuted for simple possession when no crime was intended. Welcome to the America in which tens of millions of law-abiding citizens live under threat of nonsensical and provably useless laws, Howie, you dunce.

(b) Fox News' Greta Van Susteren also labeled the pursuit of Gregory "silliness".

But, as Jacobson points out, "One of the problems with the ever expanding gun laws advocated by Gregory and others is that otherwise law-abiding citizens get caught up inadvertently violating the law... while criminals do what they please and powerful people don’t get prosecuted."

• The lurid gossip site TMZ is running interference, claiming that somehow the ATF got involved and said possession of the mag was jest fine. [Insert pregnant pause here] The ATF? Facilitating firearms crimes? Perish the thought.

• But it doesn't look like Gregory's convinced. Curiously, he's bailed out of hosting Meet the Press in DC this week, perhaps fearing a Blues Brothers-like greeting from the law enforcement community.

And it couldn't happen to a more deserving would-be tyrant. As Moe Lane observes, David Gregory can and should be arrested for violating DC's gun law.

I am perfectly serious. David Gregory needs to be arrested, for a very simple reason: if I publicly demonstrated my possession of an illegal magazine in DC then I would be arrested – which is something that I already knew very well. That David Gregory apparently did not is because David Gregory thinks that he is protected by privilege – which, as Robert Anton Wilson once reminded us, literally means ‘private law.’ The DC law is absurd and inequitable; it should be repealed. But if it is not going to be repealed then it absolutely must be enforced equitably.

DC's gun laws state that Gregory is a criminal. He should therefore be treated as one, just like you or I would be.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: The Petraeus-Broadwell-Kelley Timeline

For your consideration, I've assembled an approximate timeline of the various skulduggery involving Petraeus, Broadwell and Kelley.

11/15/11 Affair between Petraeus and Broadwell said to begin
01/24/12 "All In", Broadwell's biography of Petraeus, released
05/15/12 Jill Kelley begins receiving threatening emails from Broadwell
07/04/12 Affair between Petraeus and Broadwell said to end
08/15/12 A.G. Holder notified of affair between Petraeus and Broadwell
09/11/12 Ambassador Stevens, three other Americans killed in Benghazi
09/14/12 Petraeus testifies under oath that killings started as protest over video
10/26/12 Broadwell reveals secret CIA prison in Benghazi during Denver speech
10/27/12 Republicans including Eric Cantor informed of Petraeus affair
11/07/12 White House claims it was first notified of Petraeus affair
11/11/12 Jill Kelley hires law firm

The timeline is intriguing.

Investors Business Daily muses that the administration may have used their discovery of the Petraeus affair as leverage for false testimony before Congress.

What say you, dear reader?

YOU'LL NEVER GUESS WHAT HAPPENED TO ARMED FORCES BALLOTS MAILED FROM AFGHANISTAN: Yep. They Were "Lost".

But I'm sure Eric Holder will launch a thorough investigation any second now:

Postal officials are investigating the apparent loss of some absentee ballots mailed from Afghanistan.

A contractor who sent an email to Military Times said his county elections clerk in Texas had not received his ballot or his co-worker’s ballot by Thursday, although they mailed the ballots Sept. 27. “The Bagram Airfield Army post office placed Express mail tracking numbers on them, placed the ballots in an orange ‘Ballot Box,’ and probably in a dedicated mail bag.

“If our ballots got lost, how many other ballots are lost as well?” he wrote.

Military Postal Service Agency officials are working with the U.S. Postal Service to resolve the issue, said James Clark, chief of the operations division of the Military Postal Service Agency. It’s unknown whether other ballots may have been affected.

The contractor stated the tracking information shows their ballots are still in Bahrain, and have been sitting there since Sept. 30.

Once again, the votes of our best and brightest are suppressed, while the Obama administration tacitly encourages illegal immigrants, felons and the dead to vote Democrat.

You know what we need to do on November 6th. And hopefully the margin of victory will be sufficient to represent a complete and total repudiation of the Democrat Party.

Flush twice. It's the only way to be sure.

GOOD NEWS: Court Sides With Justice Department, Allows Warrantless Video Surveillance on Private Property

To paraphrase Glenn Reynolds, they told me if I voted for John McCain that we'd see widespread surveillance of U.S. citizens... and they were right!

Police are allowed in some circumstances to install hidden surveillance cameras on private property without obtaining a search warrant, a federal judge said yesterday.

CNET has learned that U.S. District Judge William Griesbach ruled that it was reasonable for Drug Enforcement Administration agents to enter rural property without permission -- and without a warrant -- to install multiple "covert digital surveillance cameras" in hopes of uncovering evidence that 30 to 40 marijuana plants were being grown.

This is the latest case to highlight how advances in technology are causing the legal system to rethink how Americans' privacy rights are protected by law. In January, the Supreme Court rejected warrantless GPS tracking after previously rejecting warrantless thermal imaging, but it has not yet ruled on warrantless cell phone tracking or warrantless use of surveillance cameras placed on private property without permission.

Yesterday Griesbach adopted a recommendation by U.S. Magistrate Judge William Callahan dated October 9. That recommendation said that the DEA's warrantless surveillance did not violate the Fourth Amendment, which prohibits unreasonable searches and requires that warrants describe the place that's being searched.

As Mark Levin observes, every day we endure under this administration sees the circle of liberty tightening around us, the citizens that gave birth to this great country.

You know what to do on Tuesday. You know to call your friends, neighbors and family members and to rally them, to drive them to the polls, to do whatever it takes to fire this administration and begin our journey back to Constitutional government.

MEXICAN STREETS RUN RED WITH THE BLOOD OF CHILDREN: Holder Lies to Congress; Obama Covers Up; U.S. Media Ignores the Slaughter

Thanks to the Spanish language network Univision, we now have a more complete picture of Operation Fast and Furious, the ill-fated gun-running operation orchestrated by Attorney General Eric Holder. The A.G., of course, was found in Contempt of Congress for stonewalling a House of Representatives investigation. And President Obama claimed "executive privilege" as an obvious attempt to cover up Holder's culpability.

In the mean time, Mexico's government has put Holder's death toll at over 200 dead, not to mention U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, who was killed by Mexican drug smugglers armed by Holder's Justice Department.

But the media -- with the exception of a few dogged reporters -- has largely ignored a story a dozen times bigger than Watergate. In fact, the Univision network has conducted the first substantial investigation of Fast and Furious and the slaughter of hundreds that resulted:

On January 30, 2010, a commando [team] of at least 20 hit men parked themselves outside a birthday party of high school and college students in Villas de Salvarcar, Ciudad Juarez. Near midnight, the assassins, later identified as hired guns for the Mexican cartel La Linea, broke into a one-story house and opened fire on a gathering of nearly 60 teenagers...

...Outside, lookouts gunned down a screaming neighbor and several students who had managed to escape. Fourteen young men and women were killed, and 12 more were wounded before the hit men finally fled.

...the United States government played a role in the massacre by supplying some of the firearms used by the cartel murderers. Three of the high caliber weapons fired that night in Villas de Salvarcar were linked to a gun tracing operation run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), according to a Mexican army document obtained exclusively by Univision News.

...Univision News identified a total of 57 more previously unreported firearms that were bought by straw purchasers monitored by ATF during Operation Fast and Furious, and then recovered in Mexico in sites related to murders, kidnappings, and at least one other massacre...

As part of Operation Fast and Furious, ATF allowed 1,961 guns to "walk" out of the U.S. in an effort to identify the high profile cartel leaders who received them. The agency eventually lost track of the weapons, and they often ended up in the hands of Mexican hit men , including those who ordered and carried out the attack on Salvarcar and El Aliviane, a rehabilitation center in Ciudad Juarez where 18 young men were killed on September 2, 2009.

...Following the death of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry at the hands of Mexican bandits on December 14, 2010, media and Congressional investigations prompted hearings. On September 20, the U.S. Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General report, which opened the door for sanctions of 14 ATF and DOJ officials...

...In Washington, the Fast and Furious scandal became politicized, diverting the attention from the human cost in Mexico to political battles on Capitol Hill. In June, a vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt ignored the real tragedy in Mexico.

"Americans are not often moved by the pain of those outside [their country]…" Javier Sicilia, a Mexican poet whose son was killed in the midst of the violence, told Univision News. "But they are moved by the pain of their own. Well, turn around and watch the massacres..."

...Other firearms under ATF surveillance were permitted to leave the country from Texas, according to court documents and the exclusive testimony of Magdalena Avila Villalobos, the sister of an ICE agent who survived a confrontation with cartel hit men on a rural highway in Mexico on February 15, 2011. His fellow agent, Jaime Zapata, was killed during the attacks...

... "It's not from Arizona and Fast and Furious," Avila Villalobos told Univision News, speaking in her brother's stead for the first time, "but it's a very similar operation..." She later added, "Those weapons that have been recovered, it's been confirmed that they were weapons used in the shootout that killed Jaime Zapata and wounded Victor Avila." ...

The Texas-based operation and the firearms linked to the attack were bought by two trafficking rings in the state, according to Raymond Thomas, the Zapata family's lawyer...

Earlier this year, Texas Senator John Cornyn had echoed Thomas' assertions . Moreover, on September 25, Congressman Darrell Issa and Senator Charles Grassley, the politicians behind the Fast and Furious congressional report released in July, sent a letter to the Department of Justice's Office of the Inspector General, requesting an investigation into Avila's and Zapata's case...

And Eric Holder dares to claim ignorance of the entire operation. Plainly, that's impossible for a program of this magnitude.

Furthermore, Fast and Furious was designated as an OCDETF operation (Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force), which required the highest level of cooperation between 94 U.S. Attorney's Offices, the DOJ, the ATF, the FBI, the DEA, the IRS, the U.S. Coast Guard, ICE, and the U.S. Marshal's Service.

As OCDETF, it is impossible to believe that Eric Holder did not have knowledge of the operation.

Mitt Romney should mention Holder's malfeasance every chance he gets. Holder is a disgrace and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. But, given his corrupt Justice Department, it will require a new president.

Mexico's streets are running red with blood of children; Eric Holder's response is to stonewall Congress and cover up. And Barack Obama is doing his level best to shield Holder from prosecution by claiming "executive privilege", which plainly does not cover obvious wrongdoing as is the case here.

And our disgusting, corrupt, state-run media has nothing to say about this slaughter. Kudos to Univision for doing the work American media used to do, in a time long ago and a place far away.

EXCLUSIVE PHOTO: President Obama, Attorney General Holder and Secretary of State Clinton Announce Arrest of Blasphemer

The producer of the anti-Islam film "The Innocence of Muslims" was arrested in Los Angeles Thursday.

For "probation violations", of course, in a hearing closed to the media and public.

We have our marching orders, you and I: the president himself announced at the United Nations this week that "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.."

First Amendment? Never heard of it.

ACLU: Bush administration quadrupled warrantless wiretaps. Just kidding. It was Obama and Holder.

Gee, and all this time I thought Democrats hated wiretaps and warrantless surveillance. The ACLU reports:

Justice Department documents released today by the ACLU reveal that federal law enforcement agencies are increasingly monitoring Americans’ electronic communications, and doing so without warrants, sufficient oversight, or meaningful accountability.

...The reports show a dramatic increase in the use of ... surveillance tools, which are used to gather information about telephone, email, and other Internet communications. The revelations underscore the importance of regulating and overseeing the government’s surveillance power.

...During that same time period, the number of people whose telephones were the subject of pen register and trap and trace surveillance more than tripled. In fact, more people were subjected to pen register and trap and trace surveillance in the past two years than in the entire previous decade...

...During the past two years, there has also been an increase in the number of pen register and trap and trace orders targeting email and network communications data. While this type of Internet surveillance tool remains relatively rare, its use is increasing exponentially... Earlier this year, the New York Times reported that cellphone carriers received 1.3 million demands for subscriber information in 2011 alone...

But, but, but... Bush! Cheney! Halliburton!

Let me guess: Fox News personalities, conservative talk show hosts, bloggers and others who oppose this administration's politics are among those who have been targeted.

I'm so nostalgic. I remember when dissent was patriotic.

This administration needs to go.

SCANDAL: White House Revealed Names of SEAL and CIA Operators to Hollywood Filmmakers

I'll take "Would do anything to get reelected" for a thousand, Alex.

Last July, a top Pentagon official gave two Hollywood filmmakers the name of a Navy SEAL involved in training the squad of commandos who carried out the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. Now, the Obama administration is fighting to keep that same name from the public.

In legal papers filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Washington, the Justice Department argued that the government is under no obligation to make public the SEAL's name or the names of Central Intelligence Agency personnel involved simply because officials shared their names, partial names or identities with the makers of a forthcoming movie about the raid, "Zero Dark Thirty."

"The CIA and DoD did not authorize the filmmakers to make the names they shared with them public, to publicly associate the individuals with the CIA or DoD, or to expose those individuals’ identity in any publicly released film, and there was no reason for the CIA or DoD to have believed that any of this would have happened," the Justice Department brief says. "In fact, [Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence Mike] Vickers specifically told [filmmaker] Mark Boal, in providing him with the name of someone he could talk to, that 'the only thing we ask is that you not reveal his name in any way as a consultant.'"

BlackFive's reaction is one of anger:

What's Team Obama going to about this one? Find some amateur donor to make a movie to distract us from the real issue? Oh wait...

Raise your hand if you want to be a part of any TS missions that will save lives and defend our country...but in the process your identity will be given to Hollywood?

Suffice it to say that the nitwits in old media will ignore this outrageous scandal, just one in a series of willful, immensely damaging national security leaks by the Obama administration, all designed to mask the president's disastrous foreign policy record.

Horrific Crash in Texas Kills Five Children, Leaves Two More in Critical Condition; "Language Barrier" Prevents Communicating With Other Occupants

A horrific crash east of Dallas killed five children and critically injured two others yesterday afternoon.

There were no child safety seats and not enough seat belts in the vehicle. And a "language barrier" prevented investigators from communicating with occupants.

An SUV packed with children veered out of control and overturned on Interstate 20 in East Texas on Monday, killing five children and injuring nearly everyone else inside.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said two adults and 10 children from near Marshall were inside the GMC Envoy, which had no child safety seats and not enough seat belts.

It rolled into a ditch about 2:15 p.m. near Van, about 70 miles east of Dallas, ejecting nine occupants.

Three girls, ages 13, 6 and 2, died at the scene.

A 5-year-old boy was pronounced dead at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. A 3-year-old died late Monday at Renaissance Hospital Terrell.

Two more children were in critical condition at Children’s late Monday.

Another five, including the two adults, were taken to a hospital in Tyler, according to Trooper Jean Dark with DPS. One child was later discharged and the other two were in stable condition. Only one of the adults turned out to be injured.

It was unclear late Monday what caused the the single-vehicle crash.

“There’s a language barrier between investigators and the occupants,” Dark said.

Our prayers go out to the victims of this horrific accident.

Regarding the lack of seatbelts and child seats: What makes you think if the parents broke our immigration laws that they would follow other laws?

Which laws do people get to break in this country without punishment (or with the outright encouragement of the Obama administration)?

Mexico's 9/11: Cartel Kingpin Says 3,000 Have Died As an Intentional Result of Operation Fast and Furious

We already knew that at least 300 Mexican nationals -- and two U.S. law enforcement officers -- were killed as a result of Eric Holder's insane gun-walking project known as Operation Fast and Furious. But a Mexican drug cartel chieftain says the real number is much higher:

A high-ranking Mexican drug cartel operative currently in U.S. custody is making startling allegations that the failed federal gun-walking operation known as “Fast and Furious” isn’t what you think it is.

It wasn’t about tracking guns, it was about supplying them — all part of an elaborate agreement between the U.S. government and Mexico’s powerful Sinaloa Cartel to take down rival cartels.

The explosive allegations are being made by Jesus Vicente Zambada-Niebla, known as the Sinaloa Cartel’s “logistics coordinator.” He was extradited to the Chicago last year to face federal drug charges... Zambada-Niebla is reportedly a close associate of Sinaloa Cartel kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman and the son of Ismael “Mayo” Zambada-Garcia, both of which remain fugitives, likely because of the deal made with the DEA, federal court documents allege...

"It is estimated that approximately 3,000 people were killed in Mexico as a result of ‘Operation Fast and Furious,’ including law enforcement officers in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico, the headquarters of the Sinaloa cartel. The Department of Justice’s leadership apparently saw this as an ingenious way of combating drug cartel activities.”

I really wonder how many people have to die for vintage media to express outrage at the lawless machinations of the Obama administration. Is it 30,000? 300,000? 3 million? Or 30 million?

Crikeys: illegal aliens released by the Obama administration have killed 19, raped 142, and committed a total of 60,000 crimes

Which is pretty much what you could have expected, because lawlessness begets lawlessness.

The Obama administration released illegal immigrants who went on to commit more crimes, including charges of 19 murders, 3 attempted murders and 142 sex crimes, the House Judiciary Committee said in a report Tuesday.

All told, the nearly 47,000 illegal immigrants the administration was notified of but declined to deport between 2008 and 2011 under its Secure Communities program had a recidivism rate of 16 percent, the committee said.

They were just part of the nearly 160,000 immigrants — most of them here legally — who were flagged by Secure Communities during the three year period but who were either not eligible to be deported or who the administration decided to release. Those immigrants went on to be charged in nearly 60,000 more crimes, according to the committee and the Congressional Research Service, which issued a report on the matter.

...In June President Obama announced yet another policy that shields most illegal immigrants age 30 and under from deportation. That policy won’t fully take effect until the middle of August, but it has already had an effect on those being deported.

As Heather Mac Donald reported in 2004, illegal immigration has been linked for decades to significant levels of violent crime.

Police commanders may not want to discuss, much less respond to, the illegal-alien crisis, but its magnitude for law enforcement is startling. Some examples:

• In Los Angeles, 95 percent of all outstanding warrants for homicide (which total 1,200 to 1,500) target illegal aliens. Up to two-thirds of all fugitive felony warrants (17,000) are for illegal aliens.

• A confidential California Department of Justice study reported in 1995 that 60 percent of the 20,000-strong 18th Street Gang in southern California is illegal; police officers say the proportion is actually much greater. The bloody gang collaborates with the Mexican Mafia, the dominant force in California prisons, on complex drug-distribution schemes, extortion, and drive-by assassinations, and commits an assault or robbery every day in L.A. County. The gang has grown dramatically over the last two decades by recruiting recently arrived youngsters, most of them illegal, from Central America and Mexico.

• The leadership of the Columbia Lil’ Cycos gang, which uses murder and racketeering to control the drug market around L.A.’s MacArthur Park, was about 60 percent illegal in 2002, says former assistant U.S. attorney Luis Li. Francisco Martinez, a Mexican Mafia member and an illegal alien, controlled the gang from prison, while serving time for felonious reentry following deportation.

Thanks to the Obama administration's unconstitutional implementation of the "DREAM" Act by executive fiat, you can be sure that more innocent Americans will die or suffer violent crimes.

Remember in November.

Is it just me, or is the Chicago Tribune racially profiling?

Spotted at The Chicago Tribune, which reminds us "Arrest and booking photos are provided by law enforcement officials. Arrest does not imply guilt, and criminal charges are merely accusations. A defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty and convicted."

Now, I have no idea whether these fine, upstanding folks are legal citizens or illegal aliens. Let's say, for the sake of argument, only one entered the country illegally and then injured or killed someone.

According to Eric Holder, sealing the border and protecting the citizens of the United States is somehow evil. As usual, he has it completely backwards.

An Aurora Massacre Takes Place Every 10 Days in Chicago, Gun-Control Capital of the United States

The city of Chicago enforces the most draconian (and unconstitutional) gun-control laws in the United States.

And how's that working out?

Oddly, there are no calls for more gun control in the wake of the weekly Chicago massacre. Once you have the stiffest gun control laws on the books, you should probably look at the root of the problem... "Three men are dead and at least 23 other people wounded from gun violence across the city since Friday night."

In fact, Chicago police superintendent Garry McCarthy is "accentuating the positives" of the bloody results of his city's oppressive gun ban, which prevents only the law-abiding from defending themselves by force of arms:

McCarthy noted this weekend's numbers were half the total of shootings for the same weekend last year. He also said that while 2012 shootings are up by eight percent over 2011, they've decreased considerably since March when the year-to-year increase was 40 percent...

...McCarthy also said the murder rate is well below the record of 970 set in 1974, although it's still on pace to reach 450 murders and that the murder rate is increasing as overall violent crime in Chicago is showing a decline.

In other words, an Aurora massacre occurs every 10 days in Chicago, the gun-control capital of the U.S. Like Washington DC, New York City, Mexico City and London -- to name but a few -- "gun-free" cities are truly areas where the innocent are targeted by predators who have no intention of abiding by any law.

The masterminds who think they can banish evil from the world by banning guns must reject all of human history, as well as logic and reason, to promote their unconstitutional schemes.

Did Eric Holder Help Spring the Suicide Bomber Mehdi Ghezali From Guantanamo Bay?

Eric Holder, prior to assuming the position of attorney general, was a partner at the law firm of Covington and Burling. The firm is infamous for its pro bono defense of Al Qaeda terrorists caught on the battlefield:

Guantanamo Bay Detainees

  • ...we are challenging the legality of our clients’ detentions in habeas proceedings in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.  Of the seven cases that have gone to merits hearings thus far, Covington has won four, lost two, and is awaiting a decision in one other.  Two prior clients were released without a hearing.
  • The firm has been involved in the Guantánamo related litigation for the last six years.  In addition to the on-going habeas corpus proceedings, our efforts have included: bringing cases for review of enemy combatant classification decisions...; ... filing amicus briefs and coordinating the amicus effort in Hamdan v. Rumsfeld...; filing amicus briefs in support of Supreme Court review in Moussaoui v. United States..., cert denied...; challenging the government’s practice of redacting information from documents given to security-cleared habeas counsel; and challenging the abusive medical and living conditions that the detainees experience at Guantánamo.
In fact, no less than nine attorneys in the Holder Justice Department have been involved with defending Islamist terrorists from prosecution.

And, as expected, it would appear that Israeli civilians have paid the ultimate price for this kind of treasonous madness.
According to a report by The Times of Israel, Bulgarian media named Mehdi Ghezali, a Swedish citizen and former detainee at Guantanamo Bay from 2002 to 2004, as the suicide bomber responsible for an attack in Burgas, Bulgaria, on Wednesday... On Wednesday, eight people were killed when a suicide bomber attacked a bus carrying Israeli tourists in Bulgaria. According to The Long War Journal, Mehdi Ghezali was arrested in Pakistan in December 2001. His lawyers claim he was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, The Weekly Standard reports.
Attorneys at Covington and Burley (and other firms at which current DOJ attorneys worked) are reported to have counseled prisoners at Gitmo to allege mental and/or physical abuse:
With a black baseball cap pulled tight over a mop of stringy long hair and a patchy, close-cropped beard, Mehdi-Muhammed Ghezali looked more like a Metallica roadie than a disciple of Ayman al-Zawahiri. He addressed the scrum of reporters in a clipped, heavily accented Swedish and accused the American government of wrongly detaining him for three years and "physically and mentally" torturing him. A book about his experiences was in the works; a documentary crew, cobbling together a film about American human rights abuses, had requested an audience; and his legal team was plotting a lawsuit against Donald Rumsfeld. It was 2004, and Ghezali was a free man. Sweden's The Local reports that documents released by WikiLeaks show Ghezali was held at Guantanamo to "give general and specific information of the cultural, religious and ethnic recruitment of foreign nationals participating in the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia."
According to documents released by Wikileaks, Mehdi was considered an extremely dangerous character and "posed a threat to the United States, its interests, and its allies."
Consider this New York Post article from 26 February 2009:
ATTORNEY General Eric Holder toured Guantanamo Bay this week, a “fact finding” visit prompted by President Obama’s “close Gitmo” order... Holder’s previous job, after all, was as a senior partner with Covington and Burling – a white-shoe DC law firm that devotes considerable pro bono time to defending the Gitmo detainees. The job paid $2 million a year, and he expects to collect a like amount this year as part of his separation package. As a senior partner, he undoubtedly had significant input on what kind of charity cases his firm picked up. He surely knew that dozens of lawyers from from his firm were among the 500-plus civilian lawyers representing the 244 or so remaining detainees (on top of military-court-appointed defenders). Even now, his Covington colleagues continue to allege rampant torture at Gitmo. They’re fighting hard to have detainees tried through the US court system – essentially given the same rights as US citizens. And their arguments and plans hinge largely on having Holder issue a bad report card.
In part, thanks to the efforts of U.S. attorneys -- very likely including Eric Holder himself, his law firm, and/or other DOJ radicals hired by Holder -- Ghezali was released from Guantanamo and arrived in Sweden in 2004. My only question: how much more skulduggery will Eric Holder have to commit before the House leadership gathers the courage to impeach this disgraceful human being?

The Dissociative Press: No Longer in the News Business; Now Professionally Lying for Democrats

I'm not sure when the Associated Press (also known as the Dissociative Press, which is the term they prefer, I hear) decided to get out of the news business and into republishing Democrat National Committee press releases. But it's clear from the last couple of election cycles, that the transition occurred sometime before 2008.

Consider the latest lies promoted by the contemptible Eric Holder regarding voter ID:

Speaking to the NAACP in Houston Tuesday, Attorney General Eric Holder decried the state’s controversial voter ID law as a modern equivalent to Jim Crow-era poll taxes...

The state is trying to become the tenth to require photo identification to vote.

To a wave of applause, Holder said, “After close review, the department found that this law would be harmful to minority voters and we rejected its implementation.”

Of course, the nitwits at the Dissociative Press echo the official DNC talking points almost word-for-word:

Keesha Gaskins, a senior counsel at the Brennan Center who has opposed voter ID laws, said she believes the numbers are significant and also underestimate the impact of voter ID laws. She said those numbers don't take into account people who were discouraged from showing up to vote in the first place or who may be turned away by poll workers. Even voters in states with less-strict ID laws may not get the proper explanation about how the process works without ID... "These are still people who attempted to vote and who were unable to do so," Gaskins said. "When you compare that to the actual evidence of fraud, the difference is exponential."

Let's ignore, for the sake of argument, that you can't board a plane, buy alcohol, receive a welfare check, or even attend Holder's speech at the NAACP without a photo ID. No, just ignore that for the moment. Is vote fraud really so rare that the AP repeats this lie like the parakeets they are?

Debunking the DNC talking points requires a lot of difficult research -- using a spanking-new tool called Google -- apparently unfamiliar to the nincompoops at the AP.

600,000 fraudulent voters nationwide: In 2008, a study by PJM estimated that nearly half of the 1.3 million voters registered by Acorn, the Democrat-linked criminal front group, were bogus.

Washington Governor's Race: In 2004, Dino Rossi, the Republican candidate, won the state of Washington's governorship by a narrow margin. But that victory proved short-lived. Election officials: (a) discovered uncounted ballots weeks and months after the election; (b) counted votes from people without valid registrations; and (c) permitted "felons without voting rights, as well as a few dead people, to cast ballots". After the recounts, Rossi lost by a mere 133 votes.

Thousands of fraudulent voter registrations discovered in Nevada: "[In 2009,] Nevada officials charged Acorn, its regional director and its Las Vegas field director with submitting thousands of fraudulent voter registration forms last year. Larry Lomax, the registrar of voters in Las Vegas, says he believes 48% of Acorn's forms "are clearly fraudulent." On Thursday, prosecutors in Pittsburgh, Pa., also charged seven Acorn employees with filing hundreds of fraudulent voter registrations before last year's general election."

The Al Franken Senate "Victory": in 2008, After initially leading failed radio host Al Franken by 725 votes, incumbent Senator Norm Coleman of Minnesota ended up losing the race after a series of bizarre recounts. The Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported that "the state Canvassing Board approved the use of Election Day results for 133 Minneapolis ballots that can't be found and also recommended that counties sort and count absentee ballots that were mistakenly rejected." This decision gave Franken most of his winning margin. In Ramsey County, "the recount showed that there were 171 more ballots than recorded votes", yet the ballots were counted, and Franken picked up nearly 40 more votes.

Up to 200,000 bogus voters in Ohio: In 2008, a Democrat Secretary of State apparently committed to rampant vote fraud "streamlined" the voter registration process. As a result, over 600,000 new Ohio voter registrations were obtained, but the Secretary of State refused to use verification databases to validate the registrations. She later confessed that 200,000 registrations failed to match driver's license, social security and other database checks. Later, a federal judge ruled she was breaking federal law by failing to perform the verification and blocking voter validation.

Oh, and AP hacks: this list is by no means complete. It's what I found in an exhaustive, 17-minute search.

As a result of your obvious incompetence, I'm offering free classes on how to use Google. Email me for a schedule and required study material, schmucks.

OUTRAGE: Eric Holder disarmed Brian Terry while arming his killers

Just when you thought Operation Fast and Furious -- and its cover-up -- couldn't get any worse, another layer of the onion gets unpeeled.

US Border Agent Brian Terry was shooting beanbags at cartel members before they shot him dead with assault rifles. (Truth about Guns)

For the first time the Obama Administration today admitted that Brian Terry and fellow border agents were firing beanbags and not bullets during their shootout with armed cartel members... FOX News reported, via Free Republic:

For the first time, federal officials revealed Monday that murdered Border Patrol agent Brian Terry and an elite squad of federal agents first fired bean bags — not bullets — at a heavily armed drug cartel crew in the mountains south of Tucson in December 2011.

The announcement came as the Department of Justice unsealed an indictment charging five individuals allegedly involved in Terry’s death. A sixth suspect has also been charged in a related incident.

The U.S. is also offering a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to the arrest of four outstanding suspects believed to hiding out in Mexico. The names of the four suspects were revealed, and their pictures released, to the public. Police in the US and in Mexico are cooperating and under intense pressure to find them.

[Commenter] Roark added: "Disarmed by the very bureaucrats that armed their killers."
This is the biggest political scandal in the last century. And vintage media, for the most part, refuses to report on it.

The mass murders facilitated by Eric Holder -- and the subsequent cover-up by the Obama administration and Holder -- make Watergate look like a parking violation.

Every Republican in Congress needs to demand Eric Holder's immediate resignation. Contact your Representative now and ask them whether they have done so. If not, why the hell not?
