Adi Godrej is the Indian Industrialist, Forbes Billionaire (Net Worth US $ 5.2 Billion) and the Chairman of Godrej Group.

He is one of the richest person of India according to Forbes Magazine. Adi Godrej left India at the age of 17 years to study at Massachusetts institute of technology. Initially he planned to study mechanical engineering but later on he planned to do management.

After returning to India, Adi joined his family business – Godrej Group and under his leadership, the business grew to the new heights.

After the liberalization process, Adi Godrej restructured company's policies to meet the challenges of globalisation. In the early 2000s, the Group completed a 10-year restructuring process through which each business became a stand-alone company with a CEO/COO from outside the Godrej family.

Godrej Group is one of the largest conglomerates based in Mumbai, India, involved in various industries that include appliances, precision equipment, machine tools, furniture, healthcare, interior solutions, office equipment, food-processing, security, materials handling and industrial storage solutions, construction and information technology.
