How a Movie Makes Money?

How Does a Movie Make Money?

Few months back, I have posted an Article: How Do Movie Royalties Work?

Well, See. Movies are the Intellectual Properties in its purest form. Movies born at the end of human mind labour. Of course, the movie producing team has to work physically but it’s a more mind work than a physical work and that’s why movies are intellectual properties just like books, blogs, inventions, Drawings…etc..

A Movie makes money by selling it’s various copyrights to the distributors. And than a Distributor sells CDs, DVDs and Music album of a movie and make money by selling it. Not only this but whenever a TV Channel shows that movie to its audience, the movie producers make money.

This is a Royalty Income and that’s why it’s passive in nature. Means the movie producers have to work hard at once only to develop a great movie. And this is one time hard work only. After that the Royalty Income will keep flowing into the bank accounts of its copyrights owners.

This is because a movie is the Video content and the people will never consuming any kind of content weather it’s a Picture, Text, Audio or Video.
