“Big Hat No Cattle”

It’s a very old proverb. It means that, many people in this world live a life like a king. They live in expensive homes, drive expensive cars and wear expensive clothes and watches. They look like rich and wealthy but in reality, they have not accumulated much wealth. These people are known as Big Hat but No Cattle.

On the other hand, there are few people in this world who don’t live high status life style. They don’t drive expensive cars or wear expensive watches and clothes but they have accumulated substantial amount of wealth in their lives. These are the people who don’t focus or believe in high status and expensive life styles. They live frugal. But these people focus mainly on accumulating assets/wealth. These people have accumulated substantial amount of wealth/assets over the time. These people don’t look rich and cool but in reality, these are the people who own most of the wealth in their age and occupation cohort.

Remember, the basic principle of being wealthy – If you want to become rich, wealthy & Financially free than you have to accumulate more assets. Asset means anything that will appreciate in its value (&Price) over the time. A Car is not your asset because a newly bought car will loose over 60% of its value within first 4 years of you buy.

The Examples of assets are Stocks, Bonds, Gold, Real Estate, Businesses, Art, Paintings, Blogs, Forums, Websites, Internet Businesses, Intellectual Properties….etc…

True rich & wealthy people have accumulated more assets in their lives. They don’t believe in high status life styles. So if you want to become really wealthy than stop focusing looking like rich, instead of that, focus behind accumulating assets…. You will definitely become true wealthy over the time.
